Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will
possess extensive experience in construction estimating and project management, with a strong ability to
build relationships and negotiate contracts effectively. This role is crucial in ensuring accurate cost control
and pricing strategies for our projects, contributing to the overall success of our operations.
Duties:
- Develop detailed cost estimates for construction projects by analyzing project plans, specifications, and
- other documents.
- Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for accurate
- estimates.
- Build and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing.
- Negotiate contracts and terms with vendors to ensure favorable conditions for the company.
- Utilize estimating software such as Bluebeam and Accubid to prepare comprehensive estimates.
- Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and conditions on construction sites.
- Monitor cost control throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints.
- Provide support during the bidding process, including preparing bid proposals and presentations.
Skills:
Proficiency in construction estimating techniques and methodologies.
Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of successful contract management.
Familiarity with project management principles and practices.
Experience using Bluebeam and Accubid software for estimating purposes.
Ability to analyze complex data sets and make informed decisions regarding pricing strategies.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with team members and
stakeholders.
Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in cost estimation.
